The Impact of Extrinsic and Intrinsic Motivation on Employee’s Engagement: An Empirical Study of Health Care Sector of Peshawar, Pakistan

The purpose of this study is to findextrinsic and intrinsic motivation has positive impact
on employee’s engagement The study was conducted in the health care sector of
Peshawar, Pakistan. A sample size of 50 employees was selected using convenient
sampling techniques. The data was collected from doctors, nurses and managerial level
of employees. 50 questionnaires were distributed among these employees out of whom 40
filled questionnaires were received forming percentage of 80%. These properly filled
questionnaires were used for data analysis. Data was analyzed through descriptive
statistics, reliability analysis and regression analysis. Findings of the study reveal that
there is significant relationship ofextrinsic and intrinsic motivation on employee’s
engagements in the health care sector of Peshawar, Pakistan
